19th C. Heavily wooded. March 2007: Over the past 4/5 months selected trees (mainly sycamore, including some very large ones) have been removed in areas H,K,O & R along the paths to let in light and encourage diversity. Individual monuments will not be touched but the setting will be more accessible and attractive. February 2009: Work has been progressing along the path that runs from through this area eastwards to the Anglican Chapel. Most of the path will be bordered by fencing but at the western end where the land rises steeply up to the Top Plateau, the old damaged wall has been rebuilt:-
