19thC Graves, many damaged by
subsidence and buried under material thrown over wall from modern upper
cemetery area. March 2007: Over the past 4/5 months selected trees (mainly sycamore, including some very large ones) have been removed in areas H,K,O & R along the paths to let in light and encourage diversity. Individual monuments will not be touched but the setting will be more accessible and attractive.
