The West Lodge was opened by the Lord Mayor of Bristol in March 2006. It contains the crematorium books
of remembrance which are, once again, now available for public view (details
here). The East Lodge is shrouded in scaffolding pending restoration work.
September 2006: Temporary gates erected to maintain security while restoration work is carried out on the original cemetery gates:
April 2008: The old gate posts and sliding gates have been removed for restoration:
