Aims of the
Friends of Arnos Vale Cemetery

To support Arnos Vale Cemetery in the promotion, preservation and general running of the site, for the benefit of the general public, by:-
1. Promoting the Cemetery as:
  • A place of remembrance
  • A place of historic significance
  • An educational resource
  • A valuable urban wildlife site
2. Providing educational support and resources by way of preservation of existing monuments, information displays, cemetery tours, and talks. 
3. Carrying out fundraising activities, all surplus proceeds being used for the benefit and improvement of Arnos Vale Cemetery.
4. To encourage and support the daily opening of the cemetery gates and facilities to maintain general public access.
5. Providing volunteer labour to assist with the maintenance of the cemetery grounds and buildings.
6. Assisting in the cemetery visitor areas and with general office administration and records research.
7. To support where appropriate local and national objectives in relation to the retention of graves / burial plots and memorials at Arnos Vale and other cemeteries.

If you live locally you may like to join in and help organise events, join regular working parties to maintain and landscape the cemetery or consider training to become a tour guide.
